This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner has an intricate tribal and floral allover design with charming and whimsical details. It was handmade in the 1970s by expert tribal weavers using fine quality wool and only natural and vegetable dyes. The runner has a soft and sturdy full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The allover design is a geometric lattice-like pattern with highly detailed small floral and tribal motifs. A deep violet blue provides the backdrop for the lattice-like design in raspberry pink, adorned in abundant details in ivory, fruit punch, shell pink, silver, lilac, plum and countless other colors. The ecru border lightens and brightens the rug, picking up on the ivory accents and showcases the lovely accent colors with its unique and charming design. Small plants and geometric motifs that resemble animals and people repeat throughout the border, with small flowers and long-haired girls adorn the corners. Size: 3'4"x9'8"
