This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner is both floral and tribal and has incredibly rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition. The rug's intricate floral designs revolve around a delicate central floral medallion and coordinating corners in sage green, sapphire blue, mint green, ivory, pale gray and black. The medallion, corners and the lush strawberry red backdrop are resplendent in colorful flower details. Floral sprays and bouquets fill the open field with pops of color in the same shades as the medallion, adding shell pink, lemonade pink, almond, mocha, lilac, emerald green and countless other colors to the palette. You will get lost in the details and the colors! All of this is framed by a charming border with a garland of small flowers on the vine in pink, green and blue against a black backdrop, surrounded by thin rows of repeating geometric motifs in emerald green on sage green. This runner is handmade with a full, sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 3'5"x9'9"
