This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner is tribal and floral with rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It is a fine quality rug, hand-knotted in the 1980s with quality wool that gives it a notably thick, supple and soft full pile. It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations to come. The runner's intricate geometric and floral designs revolve around a delicate central medallion of midnight blue and champagne with petals and small flowers in aquamarine, cerise pink, rosewood, peach, white, fruit punch, sage green, sky blue, shell pink, sapphire, almond and countless other wonderful colors. These colors are echoed in the corresponding four corners, and repeat throughout the rug's highly detailed symmetrical design of sprays and bouquets of colorful flowers. The backdrop is a warm maroon red, and all colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. All of this is framed by thin rows of repeating small flower and vine motifs- an ivory row, then midnight blue and rosewood complete the frame, each one with sweet flower garlands in all the shades of the rug.
