This vintage handmade tribal Persian Hamedan runner has a stunning geometric design of intricate medallions, exquisite details and brilliant colors. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner was made with fine craftsmanship and a full, thick, soft sturdy pile that is cushy underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations. Vivid and vibrant jewel tones are all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes and they are hand-knotted on black backdrop which really makes the colors pop. The two finely detailed medallions that run down the center of the runner are peach coral and strawberry red, each one adorned with small flowers and other tribal motifs in shell pink, peach, orange, ivory, charcoal, camel, lilac purple, teal blue, hunter green, plum and countless other colors. The intricate colorful details continue throughout the black open field, filling the runner in tiny colorful flowers on the vine in all of the colors previously mentioned. The plum corners have sapphire vines for their colorful small flowers, leading into the beautiful complementary border. The black border is framed by thin rows of ivory with colorful garlands, and the black border itself has a larger intriguing flower and vine tribal pattern in all the wonderful colors of the rug. You can get lost in all of the details and designs. The runner is in perfect condition, super-soft and comfortable. A truly special find. Size: 3'1"x9'7"
