This handmade fine quality purple vintage Persian Hamedan runner has spectacular and hard to find colors with an intricate tribal and floral design and a beautiful central medallion. It has a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The flower at the heart of the rug is reminiscent of a stained glass rose window. The ivory, orange, sapphire and fruit punch center leads to fruit punch petals with small sapphire, shell pink and white flowers and a camel colored edge.  These colors continue throughout the purple backdrop, creating intricate floral and tribal details that revolve around a subtle lattice-like pattern in fruit punch and sapphire, and additional colors emerge such as peach, steel blue, burgundy, rosewood and countless other colors in this sophisticated palette. You can get lost in the details. The rosewood corners have colorful floral details, and the pops of white that edge the corners and many of the small accents lighten and brighten the rug.  The border is also rich rosewood with a floral and vine geometric repeating pattern in the same wonderful colors of the rug, itself framed by thin champagne rows of small colorful tribal paisleys, known as botehs, and other small motifs. The pattern extends to all the way to the bindings, with a sapphire, burgundy, white and rosewood edge.
