This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner has an allover tribal and geometric intricate design. It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1970s. The background is a rich strawberry color that slowly transforms into lighter shades in some areas due to abrash, the natural variation that occurs in vintage rugs handmade with vegetable dyes. The intricate allover geometric design is hand-knotted with sage green tribal diamond-like shapes known as "guls" and small details in rustic colors such as walnut, copper, champagne, orange and pale pink, punctuated by white and black. The colorful accents continue in the borders, with ribbons of pink framing the border and its floral details in all of these colors and more -- silver, teal, peach and sky blue. This runner is handmade with a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 3'7"x10'4"
