This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan large runner is also known as "gallery size".   Great for an area in front of a couch, fireplace or bed,  it's also wonderful as a hallway or foyer rug, or a colorful and sturdy rug for a child's room or a den.  The rug is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s with fine quality wool and expert craftsmanship.  The intricate tribal and floral design has a beautiful rose pink diamond central medallion as its focal point with an ivory and silver flower resplendent with peach and pink, pale yellow, turquoise and plum petals, leaves and small flowers. The  backdrop of the runner is a black, filled to the brim with pattern and color in predominantly lemonade and shell pink, along with turquoise and fruit punch, rose pink, silver and lavender.  The corners are rose pink like the medallion, and echo its tribal floral and vine patterns and colors.  The ivory border has a floral and vine pattern that matches the corners and the medallion in the same vivid colors of the runner. This is surrounded by thin cherry red rows with their own charming small colorful paisley motifs known as botehs.  This rug is handmade with a full and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Size: 4'11"x12'11"
