This fine quality vintage handmade tribal Persian Hamedan runner was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers using fine quality wool and only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner is unique not only for its charming and intriguing motifs, but also for its soft pastel color palette.  The classic geometric tri-medallion pattern runs the length of the runner and has exceptional floral and geometric details. The main color of the runner is a wonderful shade of cerise pink, and the medallions are ivory and lilac purple, adorned with and surrounded by small flowers like pinwheels, leaves and trees, chevrons and other tribal motifs in carnation pink, yellow, sky blue, shell pink, white, gold, silver, charcoal, taupe, forest green, rosewood and countless other elegant, soft shades.  The colors bring to mind a summer day, a sorbet display, and of course the traditional colors of a baby's nursery or a child's room.   The border is a special part of this piece, starting with the purple backdrop, full of repeating small geometric motifs in all the colors of the runner, particularly vivid and luminescent on the boder.
