This vintage handmade Persian Hamedan runner is a colorful gem.  The tribal, intricate geometric allover design has colorful small floral details amid lattice-like motifs.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this rug is in mint condition.  The full pile and sturdy village weave is great for high traffic areas and this runner will last generations.   The lush backdrop is an elusive and beautiful shade of periwinkle/lavender with an allover lattice-like pattern in ballet slipper pink and cranberry, interconnected and intertwined with countless intricate small flowers and other motifs in peach, shell pink, steel blue, sky blue, dusty rose, orange, silver, taupe, midnight blue, rose and countless other vivid colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The border is an ivory ribbon, which lightens and brightens the runner, full of larger flower and vine motifs in all the colors of the rug, framed by thin rows of cranberry.   Size: 3'4"x10'3"
