This handmade distressed vintage Persian Hamedan tribal accent rug is such a versatile size - great for entryways and mudrooms, kid rooms and bathrooms, and anywhere that high traffic calls for something sturdy and colorful underfoot. The geometric and tribal allover design is a common pattern for rugs from this region, hand-knotted by village weavers using only vegetable and other natural dyes. The allover design is woven in intricate detail in copper, ivory, royal blue and navy blue on the salmon pink background. Note the tiny pink and white flowers as accents on the geometric motifs. The border is a particularly charming part of the rug in a rare robin's egg bright blue with tiny repeaeting motifs in taupe, pale blue and white. This rug is heavily distressed though it is hard to tell from afar. The rug has some visibile repairs and a few areas of low pile (see last 3 photos). It is perfectly intact and a great bargain! Size: 3'7"x4'8"
