This vibrant and playful vintage tribal Persian Hamedan accent rug was woven by hand in the 1980s and is in mint condition.  The rich colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The shell pink and white flower medallion at the center of the rug hosts an array of colors that continue throughout the rug's pattern - sky blue, periwinkle blue, plum, crimson and olive, finished off with a royal blue edge.  The background for the rug is a crimson, and the accent colors that fill it with small floral and geometric motifs really pop against the red. The same beautiful blues and pink appear throughout the intricate and abundant pattern, and carnation pink and lime green are added to the mix.  The white corners and border lighten and brighten the rug, showcasing the accent colors against the white background. The border is actually three rows of pattern, starting with a champagne row of pastel pink and blue charming small flowers on the vine, which leads to the ivory frame with larger flowers in all the colors of the rug, completed with a champagne and white row with a lime green zig zag line before the final red edge. This rug has a full soft pile, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is a versatile size, great for entrances and bedsides, kids rooms and kitchens and so much more.
