This vibrant vintage Persian Hamedan was hand-knotted in the 1970s and is in mint condition. Great for high traffic areas, this tribal and floral rug is handmade with a sturdy weave that will last for generations. The colors of this rug seem to sparkle and change in the light. All made with vegetable and other natural dyes, they have the unique patina that only comes from antique handmade rugs. There are also areas of abrash, which is the natural variation in natural dyes that only occurs in handmade vintage rugs. Watermelon, raspberry, cherry and strawberry all appear in the the rug's main color, with a central floral medallion in bright sapphire and midnight blue with pink and ivory accents. The rug has an intricate floral and geometric design in azure blue, ballet slipper, periwinkle blue, mint and fern green, pale yellow and lime green with black and ivory accents throughout.
