The elegant and traditional floral medallion design is a timeless classic, woven in soft shades of pink and blue against a dramatic cherry red open field. All colors are made with only vegetable and other natural dyes. The central medallion and the beautiful floral sprays are woven in cornflower blue, Tiffany blue, ivory, mint green. coral, sapphire and shell pink. The details are stunning and intricate. The corners and beautiful border echo the medallion's colors and floral designs with a thick white border framed by thin ribbons of coral, midnight blue and white. Note the abrash or natural variation in colors that occurs in vintage rugs handmade with natural dyes. You'll note a subtle, almost ombre effect in the open field as the color shifts from red towards pink. Great for high traffic, this rug was finely made with quality soft wool that is extremely dense, sturdy and soft. It will last for generations.
