This vintage handmade fine quality Persian Hamedan can be used as an area rug or a wide runner, known as "gallery size". It has a spectacular color way -- a lush midnight blue backdrop with beautiful accent colors that sparkle in the light.  Ballet slipper pink, cornflower blue, aquamarine, pink coral, teal, sapphire, dusty rose, sea green, mint green, white and countless other colors are hand-knotted in an allover tribal & floral design.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner has a soft full pile and is mint condition.  Made of fine quality wool, this village-made tribal rug is great for high traffic areas and will last generations. The repeating geometric and floral allover motifs are framed by a border of watermelon red with repeating larger geometric flowers on the vine in the same beautiful colors as the rest of the rug.  This is surrounded by thin rows of sea green and white polka dots, white ribbons of midnight blue, periwinkle blue and rose gold, and finished off with a final midnight blue edge. All colors are made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.  Great for kitchens, foyers, bedrooms and any space that needs something cushy and colorful underfoot.  Size: 4'11"x10'6"
