This vintage fine quality Persian Hamedan was handmade in the 1980s and is in mint condition. It is signed by the weaver.  The elegant and traditional floral medallion design is woven in intricate detail in a vast array of beautiful colors against a strawberry red backdrop. All colors are made with only vegetable and other natural dyes. The floral bouquets, some in urns and vases, and floral sprays are hand-knotted in peach, shell pink, teal, turquoise, copper, fuchsia, royal blue, sky blue, midnight blue, orange, gold and countless other colors.  The rug is a spring garden in full bloom. The central flower medallion is surrounded by small delicate flowers and framed with a royal blue garland. The ivory border and white floral accents brighten and lighten the rug. The border has a complementary floral design, stunning small flowers on the vine that repeat in all the rich colors of the rug. This fine quality piece has a thick, soft pile that is great underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will last for generations.
