This vibrant and cheerful vintage Persian Hamedan was knotted by hand in the 1980s by expert tribal weavers and it is in mint condition.  The incredibly rich colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes, and the full, soft and thick pile is made from fine quality wool.  The ivory medallion at the center has a delicate flower in pale pink, sky blue, mint green, peach, copper and lavender, edged in a thin line of black. This dramatic black and white design is echoed in the four large corners of the rug, each with an intricate geometric flower design in  periwinkle blue, rose pink, Tiffany blue, tangerine, sea green, shell pink and countless other colors that really pop against the black.  The background for the rug is a beautiful shade of watermelon red, filled with small floral and geometric motifs in all of the accent colors of the medallion and corners, adding even more shades to this rainbow color palette. The intricate and abundant pattern includes floral sprays and beautiful bouquets. The border is another amazing feature of this rug with its black backdrop and repeating charming geometric pattern that resmebles a garland of flowers on the vine in in actually three rows of pattern, starting with a champagne row of pastel pink and blue charming small flowers on the vine in all the colors of the rug. This rug has a full soft pile, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is a versatile size, great for foyers, entrances and bedsides, kids rooms and kitchens and so much more.
