This is a vintage fine quality handmade tribal  Persian Finest Baluch runner with brilliant colors and an allover repeating geometric design.  This runner is made with fine, soft wool that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Rows of tribal and geometric repeating motifs are hand-knotted in crimson and walnut with pops of bright orange, purple and fuchsia, framed by orange outlines and punctuated by bright ivory surrounding each motif. These motifs are known as "guls" which usually represent natural elements such as lakes and mountains.  This runner also has a complementary border with detailed geometric shapes and lines in burgundy and black.  All of the colors are are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Note that this rug has minor distress on the binding in a few areas, and slight color variation in a few small areas - none of which is noticeable when you're walking by.  See last photos for close ups.
