This vintage handmade fine quality Persian Finest Baluch runner was hand-knotted by Baluchi tribal weavers.  The rug is made with expert craftsmanship for finely knotted details and fine quality wool that creates a soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The allover highly detailed geometric design has a small circular repeating motif known as 'elephant foot', intermingled with larger repeating geometric motifs in diamond-like medallions.  Hand-knotted on a black backdrop, these patterns are woven in a rich cranberry red with accents in orange, rust, bright white, charcoal gray, salmon and rose.  The beautiful border has a charming row of small flowers in mint green, orange, sky blue and black, surrounded by a border of five thin rows of intricate small geometric designs, edged in white.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes, which creates an effect known as abrash - the natural vartation in color that comes from vintage handmade vegetable dye rugs.  The pictures show how the rug's colors have slight undulations from lighter to darker shades, creating a beautiful antique look despite the rug's mint condition and full pile. Great for a gift, an entryway, hallway, office, kitchen - anywhere you want to add a pop of color and style.  Size: 4'3"x9'10"
