This handmade vintage tribal and geometric very fine quality Persian Finest Baluch runner has a striking modern geometric design and is in mint condition. It is known as a gallery size for its large width and the ratio of width to length. It can be used as a runner for large hallways or foyers, or also as an area rug in a narrow and long space such as in front of a bed or a couch.  This rug was hand-knotted by tribal weavers using fine quality wool, a high knot count and expert craftsmanship.  This rug has a thick and supple pile that can withstand high traffic, is soft underfoot and will last generations.  The intricate small repeating geometric medallion designs (known as 'guls' which often represent natural elements such as lakes or mountains) with intermittent flowers are hand-knotted on a strawberry red background in black and white for a very dramatic effect.  The rug's intricate designs are complemented by detailed geometric motifs framed by thin rows of bright white tiny wave-like motifs for the border.  The colors are made from only natural and vegetable dyes.
