This is a brand new handmade fine quality Persian Baluch accent rug.  The rug is known as a Finest Baluch, made with quality wool that has a thick, soft pile and excellent craftsmanship.  The tribal design with intricate details has a charming animal motif - chickens, roosters, or some other exotic birds.  The colors are made from vegetable and other natural dyes -- a rustic palette of warm strawberry red, olive green, pale orange, copper, chocolate and almond.  Black is used throughout to form intricate repeating geometric motifs that seem to vibrate with energy and pops of color and create an incredibly detailed and beautiful frame for the animals. The ivory center has small tribal decorations and exotic birds guard each corner and make up the central medallion - more animals than appear at first glance.  Great for high traffic, this rug is very soft underfoot and will last generations.  Size: 2'9"x5'6"
