Rows of tribal and geometric repeating motifs are hand-knotted in the most beautiful and unique colors for rugs from this part of the world.  These pictures were taken in full afternoon sun and don't do the colors justice. The geometric motifs are known as "guls" which usually represent natural elements such as lakes and mountains. They are hand-knotted in an orange shade of copper, bright grass green, pale yellow, teal, blue, bright orange, white, and red. The colors really pop from their black backdrop.  This rug also has a stunning thick border, with multiple rows of red with detailed fine geometric shapes in teal and copper, black and white.
