This is a vintage fine quality handmade tribal and geometric Persian Finest Baluch accent rug.  This rug is made with fine, soft wool that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is also made with a high knot count for tight and fine details.  Rows of repeating 'elephant foot' motifs are hand-knotted in bright red, black and white on a dark  burgundy background that looks like a warm chocolate brown. This rug also has a stunning border, with rows of detailed fine geometric shapes resembling snowflakes and waves or leaves in the same color palette.  All of the colors are are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Note that this rug has abrash, or the natural variation in color that occurs in handmade vintage rugs made with vegetable dyes. The dyes evolve in an ombre like effect across the burgundy backdrop, appearing lighter and then more muted.  Even the fringe on this rug has an added design element, with a final light burgundy later of wool before the actual fringes.  Size: 3'10"x5'11"
