This vintage handmade fine quality Persian Finest Baluch accent rug/small runner was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers. The rug is made with fine craftsmanship, finely knotted details and fine quality wool that creates a soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The rug has an incredibly highly detailed geometric design with intricate tribal motifs filling up every inch of the rug and its border. The background is a muted indigo blue color and the geometric motifs and medallions are hand-knotted in a rich cranberry red, rust, ivory, gold, emerald green, peach, burgundy and other rustic colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The border is a fine geometric series of rows of patterns in burgundy red and blue with white and orange accents. You can get lost in the designs, from tribal trees and flowers to wave like motifs. These natural dyes create an effect known as abrash - the natural variation in color that comes from vintage handmade vegetable dye rugs. The pictures show how the rug's colors have slight undulations from lighter to darker shades, creating a beautiful antique look despite the rug's mint condition and full pile. Size: 3'1"x6'1"
