This is a fine quality handmade vintage Persian Darjazin runner.  Deep midnight blue is the dramatic backdrop for an allover tribal & floral design in shades of pink, coral, red, taupe, camel and ivory. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition.  Made of fine quality wool, this village-made tribal rug has a notably soft and thick sturdy pile that is cushy underfoot, great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations. The repeating geometric and floral motifs in vivid colors against the midnight blue backdrop create an intricate allover design, with small hearts sprinkled into the pattern.  All of this is framed in red with a repeating complementary floral and vine geometric motif in midnight blue, pink, ivory and camel with charming small flowers and other tribal motifs. This in turn is framed by taupe ribbons with charming small floral and vine garlands in pink, coral and blue.  The colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size: 3'9"x10'8"
