This handmade vintage Persian Darjazin runner has a stunning floral design that is so delicate and finely knotted, it appears almost as a painting. The rich colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes and the wool is fine quality, creating a notably thick and soft pile.  It was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers and it is in mint condition. The runner's intricate floral designs revolve around a delicate central floral medallion with an ocean blue background, surrounded by an ivory necklace motif that continues throughout the runner in azure blue and ivory. The medallion has small flowers of pink coral, Tiffany blue, sand and ivory with grass green leaves. ,These colors are echoed throughout the rug's highly detailed design.  The backdrop is a rich and bright red, the perfect elegant canvas for the floral sprays and bouquets, flowers and vines that fill the open field with a striking design.  Additional colors include lemon yellow, sapphire blue, carnation pink, taupe, lemonade pink, peach, white and many others.  The ivory corners draw your eye to the stunning border, a royal blue frame with its own elegant flower and vine motif in the same colors of the runner.  This lush, full, sturdy and soft pile can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Note in last photo that thin leather straps are woven on the back to help keep it in place, another sign of fine quality.  Size: 3'10"x10'7"
