Yellow Flowers

This is a truly stunning and fine quality vintage handmade Persian Darjazin (a village in Hamedan, in Northwest Iran) runner.  Midnight blue is the dramatic backdrop for a whimsical allover tribal & floral design in an incredible array of brilliant colors that seem to sparkle in the light.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition.  Made of fine quality wool with a sheen to it, this village-made tribal rug has a soft and sturdy, thick pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last generations. The repeating geometric and floral motifs in vivid colors against the midnight blue backdrop create an intricate allover design, framed by a complementary and equally striking border.  The colors of this runner are remarkable and can only be found in vintage handmade rugs that use vegetable and other natural dyes. Azure blue, peach, orange, carnation pink, coral, fruit punch, pale yellow, lavender, copper, mint green, fuchsia and countless other colors come to life in a dazzling pattern of geometric flowers and bouquets, plants and leaves, in wonderful combinations. This is a unique and hard to find runner - a real gem.  Size: 3'6"x13'
