This beautiful handmade vintage Persian Borchelu runner was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition. The intricate tribal and floral design was handmade by expert Kurdish weavers. The runner has a beautiful flower central medallion, charming floral and vine borders and intricate colorful details all the way to the edges. The flowers, leaves and lattice-like details throughout the rug are woven onto a uniquely colored grape purple backdrop, with the medallion a perfect cerise pink complement.  Exploring the details and colors of the rug will keep you engaged for hours -- shell pink, dusty rose, rosewood pink, peach, charcoal, khaki, plum, silver, fruit punch, carnation pink, ivory and countless other colors, which are all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The corners echo the medallion in cerise pink with tribal flower details, leading to the ivory border with tribal flowers and vines in all the colors of the rug.  This runner is handmade with a full pile that is soft underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Size: 3'11"x10'8"
