This pattern is known as a "fish design", with intricate details in an allover design in a glorious array of colors that become more clear as you get closer. This rug has a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) of double knots, so that it has the finest of precise details and an extremely thick and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last for generations.  The pile is so thick and dense it is known as an "iron rug" for its durability.  The black background is a dramatic and elegant setting for the intricate and delicate allover pattern in sapphire, periwinkle blue, rose pink, shell pink, lemonade pink, lavender, dusty rose, coral, sea green, sage green, peach, olive green, midnight blue, powder blue, white and countless other colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The border is a masterpiece in and of itself, with a gorgeous complementary pattern on a rose coral frame, full of stunning floral details in the same spectacular colors.
