This is a very special and unique piece. A vintage and rare Persian Bidjar in mint condition and extremely fine quality with spectacular details and hard to find colors. The allover pattern is abundant with flowers in full bloom and delicate birds in a glorious array of colors that become more clear as you get closer. This rug has a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) and was hand-knotted using fine quality wool and expert craftsmanship. The pile is thick and dense, made with double knots so that it is known as an "iron rug" with a soft and very sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The ivory background is an elegant setting for the intricate and delicate patterns in bright spring-like shades of blues and pinks:  pale turquoise, robin's egg blue, lavender, midnight blue, periwinkle blue, shell pink, carnation pink, rose pink, orange, sea green, mint green, chartreuse, olive green, crimson and countless other colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The tiny blue & chartreuse birds are precious elements that bring the rug to life. The border is a complementary row of flowers and vines and flourishes that frame the rug perfectly with with thin rows of periwinkle blue and tiny charming flowers surrounding it.
