This is a very fine quality new Persian Baluch prayer rug/accent rug that was hand-knotted by expert Baluchi weavers using fine quality wool, a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for precise details. and only natural dyes. The rustic colors really pop against the dark background. This rug was designed as a prayer rug with its mosque-like outline defining the rug's central design, but it can also be used as an accent rug or a tapestry. The intricate geometric and tribal motifs that adorn the rug add beautiful details that will continue to emerge and delight as you get closer to the rug. The midnight blue and black backdrop is a dramatic canvas for all of the highly detailed decorative motifs in red, peach, ivory, gold, lime green and marigold.  The architectural structure that represents the mosque is created with multiple outlines in all of the colors above in an extremely intricate interconnected geometric design. This surrounds a repeating red leaf-life motif on the midnight blue backdrop. There are charming small flowers throughout the rug, wave motifs and ram's horn designs, and countless other beautiful tribal elements.  The mosque is adorned with colorful turrets across the top of the rug.
