This handmade Persian Baluch accent rug was made with fine wool that creates a thick, soft and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The tribal and geometric design is known as "elephant foot", a hallmark of Baluch rugs .  The background  color is an elegant and elusive neutral shade of peach/champagne that has a sheen to it in certain light.  The bold geometric medallions are hand-knotted in holiday colors - cherry red, forest green, copper and plum with accents in black and white.  Note the intricate details within and surrounding the elephant feet. The borders are particularly intricate with their own repeating small tribal motifs in rows of red with black, white, and small pops of copper and green.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This rug is fine quality though it has some area of minor distress, as seen in the last 2 photos. The fringe and binding have minor imperfections and there are a few barely noticeable areas of low pile.  These imperfections make the rug a great bargain, and add to its one of a kind handmade charm.  Size: 3'2"x5'9"
