This is a fine quality brand new handmade Persian Baluch accent rug.  It was hand-knotted using fine soft wool that creates a sturdy pile, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The tribal and geometric design is known as "elephant foot", a hallmark of rugs from this region.  The elegant champagne backdrop has a sheen to it in the light, and it is a striking contrast to the bold geometric medallions in rich rustic shades of crimson red, copper, forest green, orange, burgundy, white and midnight blue.   Note the intricate geometric details inside the elephant's feet and surrounding them, filling the rug with pops of color and charming small geometric designs. The borders have their own repeating small wave-like geometric motifs in three concentric rows of red with details in all of the colors of the rug.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
