This is a fine quality brand new handmade Persian Baluch.  It was hand-knotted by expert Baluchi weavers using a fine knot count for precise and crisp details, along with soft wool that creates a thick, sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The tribal and geometric design is known as "elephant foot", a hallmark of rugs from this region.  The rug is bursting with intricate designs and colorful details that become more apparent as you look closer: cherry red, midnight blue, burgundy, emerald green, bright orange and white.  Note the geometric details inside the elephant's feet and surrounding them. The borders are particularly striking on this rug, with their own repeating small wave-like and tribal designs in rows of red, midnight blue, burgundy and white. All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
