This fine quality handmade Persian Baluch accent rug was hand-knotted by expert Baluchi tribal weavers using fine quality wool, creating a soft and supple yet sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The geometric design of repeating concentric layers of tribal motifs in red, sage green, chocolate, black and white is beautiful, symmetrical and highly detailed.  The central medallion has a unique elongated shape with a red field and charming flower motifs in red, sage green, black, heather gray and white.  These colors form the central medallion, made up of an intricate design of squares, bordered by thin rows of red, green and ivpry before the surrounding rectangle bursting with charming chocolate and red flowers with white accents on a black background.  This is framed by a thin white edge leading to multiple layers of these same tribal florets in red, green, chicilate and white.  You can get lost in the layers that frame the rug and adorn the medallion. The colors are made from only natural dyes.  Note that this rug has another decorative element at its edges, where there is a wide kilim or flat-weave layer of midnight blue before the fringe.  Even this kilim is hand-knotted in multiple rows of ivory geometric motifs and red alternating lines.   Size: 2'9"x4'6"
