This is a fine quality brand new handmade Persian Baluch accent rug.  It was hand-knotted using fine soft wool that creates a sturdy pile, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The tribal and geometric design is known as "elephant foot", a hallmark of rugs from this region.  The neutral ivory backdrop is a striking contrast to the bold geometric medallions in cherry red, midnight blue, burgundy, copper and white.  Note the intricate geometric details inside the elephant's feet and surrounding them. The borders have their own repeating small wave-like and other geometric motifs in rows of red, with burgundy, copper and midnight blue. All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
