This is a vibrant vintage handmade Persian Bakhtiari runner. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner has some light distress with a few areas of low pile. It is otherwise in perfect condition with no tears or patches and the fringes and edges are perfectly intact. The rug is made of fine quality wool and the sturdy pile is great for high traffic areas. This is a village-made tribal rug that will last generations. The repeating geometric motifs in vivid colors create an allover design that is repeated again in the borders. Bright white punctuates all of the accents and brightens up the rug. Details are woven in orange, sapphire, goldenrod, burgundy, and hunter green, all with black detailing. All colors are made from only vegetable & other natural dyes. This warm runner has several areas of abrash, the natural variations in color that occur in vintage or antique handmade rugs using vegetable dyes. Size: 5'3"x13'2"
