This handmade vintage tribal Four Seasons design Persian Bahtiari with flower and tree motifs has a rich color palette and charming details. This sturdy fine quality oriental rug has a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  The Four Seasons design is a checkerboard pattern in which each square represents one of the four seasons.  In this rug, the squares resemble windows to the garden, with views of the changing seasons through the trees and flowers.  The vibrant colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The squares' background colors alternate between ivory, plum and royal blue. They are adorned with flowers, trees and other geometric motifs in these same colors, along with heather and charcoal gray, pops of yellow, shell pink, boysenberry and rosewood.  The details continue even between the squares, with rows of tiny flowers.  All of this is lightened and brightened by the ivory border with its own design of large geometric flowers on the vine in all of the rug's colors, framed by rows of small tribal flowers and other geometric motifs.  This rug is in perfect condition except for an irregularity in the edges - the rug was cut in the middle of the final row of small flowers on both sides, symmetrically.  See last photo for close-up.  Size: 6'7"x9'8"
