This handmade vintage tribal Four Seasons design Persian Bakhtiari with floral, tree and garden motifs has a hard-to-find color palette and charming details.  This sturdy oriental rug has a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations. The Four Seasons design is a checkerboard pattern in which each square represents one of the four seasons.  It is said that the squares resemble windows to the garden, with views of the changing seasons through the trees and flowers.  These soft colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Shades of pink and blue, from sapphire, sky blue and royal blue to pink lemonade, pink ruby and fruit punch harmonize beautifully with neutrals like silver, almond, ivory, and charcoal.  Trees, flowers, leaves and other geometric patterns are framed by an ivory border with a delicate geometric garland of flowers in every color of the rug, right before the final blue edge with small pink and white flowers.  This rug is a bargain price because of its minor imperfections. The border on one end of the rug has some imperfections in the design - see last photo for details.  This slight distress adds to the rug's unique one of a kind handmade aesthetic.  It is otherwise in perfect condition and very fine quality.
