This handmade vintage tribal Four Seasons design Persian Bakhtiari with floral, tree and garden motifs has a rich color palette and charming details. This sturdy fine quality rug has a full, thick pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  The Four Seasons design is a checkerboard pattern in which each square represents one of the four seasons.  It is said that the Persians created this design out of pride in their four seasons, unlike other countries in the region.  In this rug, the squares resemble windows to the garden, with views of the changing seasons through the trees and flowers.  The vibrant colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes and they are incredibly rich.  Every other square in the pattern is ivory, alternating with sapphire blue and crimson.
