This is a semi-antique Persian Bakhtiari, hand-knotted in the 1960's in a Four Season design in which each square represents one of the four seasons.  The striking color palette is made from only vegetable and other natural dyes, creating a rich regal red, bright orange, rose, olive green, pale yellow, ivory and black.  You can get lost in the details of the quilt-like design with its endless representations of the seasons. This rug has a few areas of light distress where there is some coor running along the fringe and in a few small areas of the rug's design. Size: 8'9"x12'
