Handmade vintage Four Seasons Persian Bakhtiari.  High quality, thick full pile, handmade in the 1970s and in mint condition. Tribal weave, checkerboard pattern in which each square represents one of the four seasons. Charming floral and architectural motifs, including the Tehran tower with the word "Azari" which means freedom in Farsi, the language of Iran.  Rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Barn red edges and squares alternate with ivory and midnight blue squares with accents and detailed designs in pink, sapphire, yellow, hunter green, fern green, mint green, camel, chocolate, pomegranate, pale peach.
