This vintage fine quality Persian Afshar has spectacular tribal details and rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It was handmade in the 1980's and it is in mint condition.  The striking geometric design has a highly detailed pattern of charming colorful motifs such as tiny flowers and stars.  The red background is a perfect setting for the rustic colors that adorn and surround the three diamond medallions that run down the center of the rug.  The medallions are midnight blue or ivory, with accents of bronze, orange, royal blue, forest green and rosewood. These are the colors that continue into the red open field in a dizzying display of tribal artistry. The four blue corners have a full garden of large and small flowers, leading to the border, another special feature of the rug. A series of rows with small repeating motifs in all the colors of the runner frames the rug beautifully. You can get lost in the details.  The sturdy pile is soft underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  Size: 3'10"x5'7"
