High quality rug made with fine wool and excellent craftsmanship with a sturdy full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  This rug also has a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch), which makes for very fine detail.  The Four Seasons design is a traditional Persian checkerboard pattern in which each square represents one of the four seasons and is sometimes described as "windows on the garden".  In this modern version, the squares are full of colorful and intricate geometric motifs and the trees and flowers form the border.  The amazing array of bright jewel tones are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The wine-colored backdrop hosts endless patterns in colors such as azure blue, fern green, goldenrod, peach, orange, teal and countless other colors.
