This is a very high quality, elegant hand-knotted Persian Tabriz accent rug made from fine silk and wool with a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch).  It is hard to find fine Persian Tabriz rugs in this small size.  The ivory backdrop is the setting for a spectacular medallion in mauve, with accent sin periwinkle, pomegranate, taupe and midnight blue. The mauve medallion has small ivory leaves ad flowers dancing throughout.  The ivory field of the rug is filled with intricate, finely detailed floral and vine motifs in perfectly symmetrical designs.  The colors of the medallion appear throughout, with the addition of lavender, dusty rose, silver, heather gray, and plum.   All of the colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The corners of the rug are exquisite flourishes of flower sprays, leading the eye to the stunning border. The mauve frame has the same delicate floral designs hand-knotted throughout in all of the rug's colors.  The silk accents glisten in the light. This rug is a true masterpiece for the floor.
