This is a top quality handmade brand new tribal Kazakh accent rug.  Hand-knotted by expert Afghan weavers, this rug is made from natural wool with a sturdy tribal weave that will continue to last generations and can withstand high traffic.  The geometric, nomadic design has a series of three large colorful footed medallions that  run down the center of the rug. These are known as 'guls' and often represent natural elements such as lakes or mountains.  The guls and the open field around them are adorned with intricate tribal details, including leaf and flower motifs, stars, arrows, S curves and footed medallions.  Made with only natural dyes, the rug is an elegant shade of eggshell with crisp details in sky blue, mint green and pomegranate red. Additional accent colors are charcoal, mushroom, heather gray and sapphire blue. The border is a beautiful complement to the rug's design, a frame of repeating geometric arrows that form flower-like motifs in shades of blue and gray against a pomegranate backdrop.
