This is a spectacularly vibrant and colorful, fine quality brand new handmade Pakistani Baluch accent rug.  Rugs such as these have been made by Baluchi tribal weavers for generations.  The bold double medallion geometric design is hand-knotted in a copper orange against a black backdrop and the colors seem to burst from the wool.  Each medallion is outlined in bright ivory, which creates even more contrast with the backdrop and lightens the rug, drawing the eye to the center.  These striking geometric medallions are decorated with intricate symmetrical motifs in emerald green, cherry red, bright sapphire blue and plum.   Small charming jewel tone flowers fill the open field and surround the medallions with pattern and color.   The border is another striking and decorative element of the rug, a frame of concentric rows of colorful repeating geometric motifs all the way to the final layer before the fringe, a black and white wave motif. Made by hand with natural wool and only natural dyes, this rug can withstand high traffic and will last for generations.
