Hand-knotted by expert Pakistani weavers, this rug is made from natural wool with a sturdy tribal weave that will continue to last generations and can withstand high traffic.  The allover geometric, nomadic design has an abundance of colorful intricate and charming details, including leaf and flower motifs and footed medallions known as 'guls', which often represent natural elements like lakes and mountains.  Made with only natural dyes, the rug is an explosion of bright colors on a cherry red background.  The three central medallions and surrounding geometric shapes fill the rug with sea green, camel, coral, denim blue, peach, lemonade pink, sly blue and bright white. The border is a beautiful complement to the rug's design, a zig-zag of footed concentric triangles in all of the rug's colors, itself framed by thin blue rows of repeating tiny flowers and geometric repeats.
