It is the "real deal" that many of today's contemporary geometric rugs try to mimic.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s by expert Kazakh tribal weavers, this rug is in mint condition.  The fine quality wool is soft and supple, with a sturdy tribal weave that will continue to last generations and can withstand high traffic.  The allover tribal and nomadic design has an abundance of intricate and charming details in brilliant colors, such as intriguing and exotic animals, leaf motifs, ram's horn motifs and pinwheel flowers.  Made with only natural dyes, the rug is an explosion of color and pattern.  The deep cherry red backdrop is the perfect background color for the series of medallions that run down the center of the rug in emerald green, steel blue and hot pink.
