This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and quality wool, with colors made from only natural dyes. The allover geometric design is derived from antique Persian Sarough Viss patterns that date back centuries. Medallions of ocean blue  run down the center of the runner with intricate adornments and small tribal motifs within and surrounding them in silver, cranberry, ivory, gray and sky blue.  The backdrop of the entire rug is pale silver and the border is a thick charcoal frame with all of the rug's accent colors used to create a geometric garland of flowers on the vine.   The rug has a beautiful and intricate cranberry and ocean blue  ziggurat-like design that precedes the border, adding an additional layer of geometric decorative interest throughout the runner.
