This stunning and very hard to find square brand new rug was handmade in India by master weavers trained in traditional rug design and technique. It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug's design is based on the Persian Nain, with an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine medallion pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines revolving around a beautiful central medallion.  The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is an elegant, lush midnight blue and the medallion and all of the surrounding designs are hand-knotted in turquoise, sage green, hunter green, taupe, mocha, cranberry, mauve, mushroom, sky blue, camel and countless other elegant neutral shades, all punctuated by bright white and all made from only natural dyes. The border is the perfect complement, an ivory frame with a similar floral and vine pattern in the same colors, surrounded by thin rows of sky blue and camel with garlands of small flowers on the vine.
